Thank you so much for your interest in my upcoming workshops. I wanted to explain a bit more about what I can offer you and what the ethos is behind my workshops.
So, making ceramics, for me, is much more meaningful than making beautiful things. It is about my own personal growth and now my desire to help you to grow too. I have been working with ceramics for nearly five years and as I have leant more into my emotional world it has developed my sense of self trust, an inner knowing. In that trust it has given me the confidence, freedom and empowerment to start this business and to integrate it with my therapeutic skills. And it guides me in making my pieces. It is also what means I can now help you!
I have been practicing as a therapist for nearly 15 years. I have learnt so much as I have had the privilege to enter and walk with people in their lives. I have grown, they have grown. I am still growing. I am wanting to expand this work in this space so I can help you grow. To reach your goals and live to your full potential. As the ceramics help me, we can use them to help you. It's all about process.
So, the workshop. This of course therefore needs to be be about creating something meaningful for you on your growth path. Lots of people have asked about using the clay and creating your own piece from beginning to end. I have heard you and therefore will be running the workshops as a two part course. The first part will be about using the clay leaning into the experience of the process. Then, I will fire that piece so you come back for the second part to glaze. How you choose to do this will be in connection to your experience in the process. You will therefore create something truly meaningful to you, about you, for you. It will be a unique piece of art that will stand out in your home! Or perhaps you will give it as a gift to a friend, to let them know how special they are to you.
